AN INTERVIEW WITH ANNETTE DENHAM

Hiring a designer: How does it work?
All designers work differently. We like to have the opportunity to discuss your project on the telephone with you first and get a better feel for the project and how we might be able to best collaborate with you.

How do you charge?
Every client's project is unique, so until we can establish our role in your project... that is a challenging question to answer. After we are able to determine the scope, we will be able to provide an estimate.

What will our project cost?
How much time do you have? The sky is pretty much the limit when it comes to remodeling your kitchen or bath... and your personal style, the room size and material selections will contribute greatly in determining that answer. It is always best to have a pre-determined budget for your project.

How do we get started, and what is the next step?
Call us today at 480-559-9395 to talk about your project.

Do we need to use your contractor or architect?
No. ADI will work with your builder, or tradespeople if they are licensed contractors or tradespeople.

Do I have to make purchases through you?
No. You are welcome to take on that responsibility. We recommend that if you do... to plan on adding additional time for both design and construction phases.

Does it cost more to purchase product from you?
No. Manufacturers sell product directly to their dealers or through trade only sources, which allows us to be competitive or save you money.

What is your style?
We do not have a particular style. Our clients' preferences, the architecture of the home and it's natural surroundings, as well as the budget dictate the style direction. ADI believes in not over-styling a space but with an emphasis to create a space reflective of the clients' needs, functionability and personality.

How long will my project take?
From design through completion or from demo through completion? Every project is unique and althrough there is no such thing a typical remodel project...
A new kitchen (tear-out, not a face-lift) can take 2-4 months to design and 2 months-1 year to build.
A new master bathroom averages 2-3 months to design and can take 1-3 months to build. A new custom home design from start to finish generally takes 3-4 months to layout and plan all the details. As with any remodel project, the scope and size along with your decision making ability throughout the design + construction processes contribute directly to the timeline.

What do you expect of your clients?
Great question! The most important ingredient for us is to be able to work with a responsive client who stays engaged in the process. Clients need to be able to make difficult decisions on a timely basis and they need to be able to communicate.

Designing is a collaborative team effort. As your designer our job is to interpret what ultimately works best for you with your help. The process of remodeling can and will be at times a challenging, frustrating experience.

Clients expectations Continued
It does not matter how many times you have actually remodeled a kitchen or bath... every project has its' own set of challenges.

I like my clients to know, remember and appreciate that a kitchen remodel or a bathroom remodel is not just about remodeling that space... it directly impacts them, forever. Your new space will change your habits or routines, and you will create new ones... the way you see yourself will change.

Up-Grading your space... Up-Grades You!
